The modernization of the oldest city-forming enterprise of the district (and the paper mill is more than 130 years old) was included in the list of the most important investment projects of the Republic of Belarus. The depreciation of the active part of fixed assets here was almost 80%, the technological level lagged behind modern requirements. The energy intensity was also huge. The new paper-making machine will allow almost 2.5 times to increase the volume of output, reduce costs, expand the range and improve quality. The company plans to receive 15 thousand dollars of added value per employee per year.
According to the business plan, the project cost is almost 15 million euros. The branch receives substantial state support in the form of reimbursement of interest paid on loans from the republican budget.
